Malika Zarra was born in Morocco, raised in France, and got her musical training in Paris and New York. Malika’s new record is RWA (The Essence) a collection of original songs informed by ideas of belonging, community, owning one’s power.

Malika is inspired by  her life experiences as an immigrant, as a traveler, as a mother and artist. Malika’s voice is warm and personal and filled with feeling.  As a person, touring the world, sharing her art. Malika is a communicator.

Malika Zarra and her Jazz Trio will be performing a free show Saturday, November 4 at 9 PM at Lobby Stage at the Perelman Arts Center, 251 Fulton St in New York.
