Elections to the post of the Congress President have dominated the headlines all of this week. Internal party election have been as exciting as a general election. It has seen everything from revolt, retraction, apology, anger, suspense, twist, last minute additions and pull-outs. But at the end, it is a contest between Shashi Tharoor and Mallikarjun Kharge. But even here, there is an interesting story. Mr Kharge's last minute candidature is being seen as an official entry. Images from the party HQ of his nomination also make it seem that he has the blessings of the high command. If we see  images of Mr Tharoor's nomination, bit of an 'Ekla Chalo' moment for him. He was full of ideas in his press conference. But it was clear where the support lies. So, then what does one make of these elections? Fixed match? Contest? Foregone conclusion?
