Across the island of Malta, deep grooves are carved directly into the limestone bedrock.
They run across hills. Through valleys. And sometimes straight into the sea.
They look like wheel tracks — yet no ancient wheels, axles, or vehicles have ever been found to explain them.
These formations are known as cart ruts, and nowhere on Earth do they appear in the same quantity as they do here on Malta.
