Welcome to the Mama Bear Podcast. I’m your host Alexia Maman, and it is my mission to bring to light topics that are often taboo, for you to know you are not alone, and to create a community of mothers who are healthy, happy, and thriving in motherhood.
I’m a mom of 2, a wife, a homemaker, and a holistic social worker specialized in maternal mental health and child safety and development. I have a virtual private therapy practice and am currently a holistic nutritionist in training, focusing on supporting pregnancy, postpartum and babies nutrition and health.
On this podcast i tackle all things motherhood and health. Our feelings, emotions, behaviours, and thoughts are all deeply intertwined with our bodies and physical health. This marriage of mind and body affects our daily functioning, relationships, and the way we perceive our own lives and the world around us.
As mama bears, there is a lot to know. I believe that equipped with the right information, we can make informed decisions that will best support our own health and wellbeing, and the health and safety of our children.
I host interviews with experts and moms, share important resources, tons of the research i delve into, experiences from my personal and professional life, and will regularly have Q+A episodes to answer your burning questions.
