Mamdani claims that NYC has more millionaires than it did five years ago, but he's purposely misleading you. While the number of millionaires has gone up, New York's share of millionaires has gone down. And it will go down further if he raises taxes. In fact, a tax increase of just seven percent led to a decrease in NY's share of millionaires of a whopping 35%. Imagine what happens when he raises taxes 51%. He will begin taxing the middle class and this is what he's actually doing now. Recently he submitted a proposal to lower the estate tax threshold by 90% and increased the top rate from 16% to 50%! Despite all of his promises, Mamdani will destroy the middle class.
