The heinous crime took place early Sunday February 27 in the municipality of Leme, in Brazil’s São Paulo state, according to local news outlets.

Surveillance camera that captured the incident shows the victim, identified only as Carlinhos, engaging in a verbal conversation with his assailant. The culprit then pulls out what appears to be a knife from his shorts and stabs the victim in the neck before taking off running. After bleeding profusely from the neck, the victim eventually falls face first on his bike and against the ground, according to the video.
