A fatal fire broke out on the third floor of a unit block in St Marys, Western Sydney, just after 7pm, claiming the life of a man in his 40s. A woman, also in her 40s, jumped from a window to escape the flames and suffered serious injuries. Twenty-five people were evacuated from the building.
