Emotion isn’t cheesy. Learn to feel.

In this episode my friend Liam Swartz and I sat and talked about a topic that is sensitive yet very relevant. Being “men”, we often struggle finding ourselves given society’s expectations and our discussion was based around just that. We challenged numerous traditional gender roles and stereotypes and also explored some of the pressures placed on people (in general) in society. Our goal was to speak out about the importance of self expression, emotion and some of the unfair advantages that men may have created for themselves.

I think we fulfilled our mission of normalising conversation amongst men to promote accountability and self-awareness. We also explored several perspectives and scenarios in society where men may be disadvantaged and this was purely done with an intention to explore those perspectives rather than labelling men as the victims. 

Liam is a pretty chill guy and I hope that after listening to his opinions and views on such sensitive topics, you have a better understanding of the man behind your screen. 

 

We think men need to grow up.
