In this episode of Man On Fire Moto, I sit down with Oli, manager of the Learn to Ride program at High Desert Harley-Davidson in Boise, Idaho.
We talk about how Oli got into rider education, what we’ve both learned from teaching riders over the years, and why instructors need to keep learning too. A big part of the conversation is about continuing education, improving as instructors, and always looking for better ways to help students understand the skills they need on the road.
We also get into what makes rider training meaningful beyond just completing a class. It’s about helping people build confidence, improve their skills, and keep learning long after the course is over.
One thing that really comes through when you listen to Oli is how much he cares about people. He’s passionate about teaching, learning, and helping riders become the best riders they can be.
It was a great conversation about motorcycles, training, teaching, and why none of us should ever stop learning.
