Most of us look forward to the Holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year are the most widely celebrated, and they’re all relatively close together. That’s why this time of year is generally referred to as the Holiday Season.
We get to spend time with family and friends. Express our Thanks to God for all His blessings, especially the birth of His son Jesus Christ. We exchange gifts and if we’re lucky we might even get a couple of days off work! 😊
But there’s a sizable group of people that aren’t looking forward to this time of year. It isn’t that they aren’t grateful for their blessings or that they are Charles Dicken’s Ebenezer Scrooge. They’re simply experiencing conflicting thoughts and emotions that cast a shadow over and diminish the joy of the season.
In extreme cases these depressing thoughts and feelings can lead to someone taking their own life.
Join us to learn how to manage grief and depression as you navigate through the holiday season.
