I hope this episode finds your ears at the exact moment that you need it this holiday season.
Maybe you also love the concept of holidays. Quality time. Food. Travel. Christmas lights galore. Holiday cheer. And also maybe holidays sometimes create uncertainty, dread, anxiety or some other mix of feelings.
We get this idea that ‘holiday happiness and cheer’ is a requirement to ‘a successful holiday season’ but I challenge you to re frame that. Feeling happy isn’t the end all be all but being able to FEEL every emotion that comes up and spending time to sit with and reflect, is.
This is the first holiday season I’ve truly been able to sit with that ‘brokenness’ feeling that holidays bring up for me and I want to use today's episode to help NORMALIZE the feelings holidays might bring up for you. From expectation management to setting boundaries to prioritizing routines. This holiday season is YOURS, for YOU and you get to decide how that time and energy is spent.
