This week we are talking to Kate Voss & Cascade Tuholske, who are PhD candidates in UCSB's geography department. They both did their undergraduate work in Washington D.C. and are interested in applying their scientific results to influence policy and affect change. These lucky ducks have traveled all around the world for their work, from Peru to Nepal to Easter Island to Guatemala to Roatán to Ghana... Tune in to hear their stories and perspective about working at the interface of science and politics, and to hear their amateur (yet impressive) kazoo playing.
