Drinking: The Manhattan

2 oz. bourbon or rye whiskey

½ ounce sweet vermouth

2 dashes Angostura bitters

Maraschino cherry

Combine whiskey, vermouth, and bitters in a cocktail mixing glass. Add ice and stir until chilled. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
