Man’s Search for Meaning with Dr. Kara Keuthan

Listen Later

In this episode I’m joined by one of my very best friends Dr. Kara Keuthan, to discuss Man’s Search for Meaning by Austrian psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor, Dr Viktor Frankl. Kara tells the story of surviving a terrible accident at 18 years old, and how a few years after it she found a great deal of connection and meaning after reading this tremendous book by Dr. Frankl. Kara shares how she also found her way to the field of psychiatry and how through her own trauma she is able to help others find resilience and strength.

For our drink we chose to honor Dr. Frankl’s homeland of Austria with an Austrian Rosé, Pratsch. Although a lot of what we cover is heavy, we do discuss a wine note that wine-experts label “Funky” but that I oh-so-eloquently-call “Tastes like feet”. Cheers!
