In this episode of Redemption Talks, we discuss the “Troubling Jesus” report, which gathered reactions from UK Gen Z students (ages 14–18) who read several Bible stories and had their reactions recorded for the study. Their feedback included claims that Jesus was a “mansplainer,” had a “God complex,” and that God the Father seemed violent and fear-based. There’s a generational drift that we need to be aware of as the Church; how do we react to these views? How long until generations in our country view Jesus similarly? And how does God’s love compel us to respond to those who reject Jesus?
