U.S. Military Action in Venezuela & the Christian Response

In early January 2026, the United States carried out major military operations in Venezuela, capturing President Nicolás Maduro and bringing him to New York to face legal charges. The situation has had ripple effects across politics, diplomacy, immigrant communities, and the global Church — especially among Venezuelan Christians in the U.S. who are ministering to anxious diaspora populations and praying for peace and justice.

How should Christians understand U.S. military intervention in another nation — especially one with a large Christian population — in light of Biblical teachings on justice, peace, sovereignty, and caring for the oppressed?
