Marc Romero Boixadé is the founder of Marc Romero Interiors, a design studio working between Berlin and Barcelona.

His work is shaped by a philosophy he often describes as “slow design”, an approach that prioritizes listening, empathy, and a deep understanding of how people live in their spaces.

Originally trained in cinematography and photography, Marc did not begin his career in interiors in a traditional way. After moving from Catalonia to Berlin in his early twenties with little more than a camera and a one way ticket, his creative path gradually evolved through experience, experimentation, and intuition. During the pandemic, a first restaurant project unexpectedly opened the door to interior design, eventually leading him to launch his studio and focus entirely on residential spaces.

Marc’s work blends Mediterranean sensibility with a precise and thoughtful process. Natural materials such as wood, clay, linen, and cotton appear frequently in his interiors, often paired with organic shapes, arches, and earthy tones. Light plays a central role in his approach. Influenced by his background behind the camera, he designs spaces by imagining how light moves through them during the day, shaping the atmosphere and revealing the “soul” already present in a place.
