Imagine rounding the corner and finding children in the biggest, nastiest mess. You really don’t want to clean it up — unless, of course, it’s your child. God created a perfect world where humankind lived in perfect harmony with him and with one another. All that changed when they believed the Tempter’s lies. Yet when God found them in that awful mess he didn’t turn away. Instead, he chose to step in. With every footprint Jesus would overcame temptation, defeated sin, and crushed Tempter’s head. The nailmarks in his feet still prove his saving love for us all.
