WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS
OPENING PRAYER:
As we progress through Lent, our Father, enable us to deepen our spiritual lives. Teach us to pray rightly that we may know the blessing of being rooted and grounded in your Spirit. Focus our minds upon Christ, for it is in him that we see the pattern we are to follow. Thus, it is in his name we pray. Amen.

Leader: We come this day hoping to encounter Christ.
People: We come with burdens and questions that only He can answer.
Leader: May we open our hearts to Him.
People: May our lives be healed and strengthened for service. AMEN.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Leader: Merciful God, forgive us when we stray from your path and succumb to the temptation of the moment.
People: Make us to know your ways, O Lord; teach us your path.
Leader: Forgive us for failing to see every person as one of your beloved children.
People: Make us to know your ways, O Lord; teach us your path.
Leader: Forgive us when we fail to share from the resources we have, when others go hungry for lack of food, or have no place to rest.
People: Make us to know your ways, O Lord; teach us your path.
Leader: Forgive us when we hold onto our anger and hurts, failing to forgive as you have forgiven us.
People: Make us to know your ways, O Lord; teach us your path.
