Today we will be reading 2 Samuel chapter 1. We will read about David hearing the news of Saul and Jonathan's deaths. In our discussion we will talk about the way David spoke well of Saul even after his death,  and that while it may be tempting to speak badly of people once they are  gone and talk about all the terrible things they did, this was not what  David did and it was not what Jesus did while He was dying. When Jesus was dying he asked for forgiveness for the things the people were doing to Him! We may not have this occasion very often in our lives, but when  we experience someone dying in our lives let us remember David and Jesus' examples of speaking well about people and being respectful of them, even if they treated us badly when they were alive.
