Sometimes forgiveness can be elusive, because all of the elements for healthy forgiveness aren't in place: a clear understanding of the offense; a thoughtful apology; and a desire to reconcile. Sometimes we have trouble identifying whether an offense is perpetual or solvable. Other times we might wonder how many times we have to forgive someone before they reach their forgiveness limit. Is there such a thing as making forgiveness too easy? How can Jesus guide us through this important task?
