“The righteous is concerned for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.” — Proverbs 12:10 (ESV)

“Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.” — Psalm 31:5 (ESV)

“Did I despise the cause of my male or female servant when they contended with me?… Did I deny justice to my servant?” — Job 31:13,15 (ESV)

Life can feel heavy when you’re trying to do the right thing. Maybe you’ve been tempted to take the easy way out, ignore someone being treated unfairly, or hide the truth just to avoid trouble. In Proverbs 12, we see that doing what’s right—even for something as small as caring for an animal—reflects a heart of integrity. Psalm 31 shows that trusting God fully brings strength and peace, even when life feels uncertain or unfair. And Job? His story reminds us that living with integrity takes courage, honesty, and accountability—even when it’s hard or no one is watching.

Being a teen means navigating friendships, school pressures, and social media, where shortcuts and compromises seem tempting. But God calls us to choose honesty, compassion, and fairness every day. When we do, we build a foundation that lasts and shine His light for others to see.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Integrity in Action: How do you treat those who can’t repay you, like younger siblings, classmates, or even pets? Are your actions fair and kind, even when no one notices?

2. Trust God in Hard Times: Job and David both faced struggles and uncertainty. How can you place your confidence in God (Psalm 31:5) when life feels overwhelming or unfair?

3. Living Honestly: Are there areas in your life where it’s tempting to compromise or hide the truth? What small steps can you take to live with integrity daily?

BOTTOM LINE

True strength and peace come from living with integrity, trusting God, and treating others with fairness and compassion.

PRAYER
