“Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel. Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits lacks sense.” — Proverbs 12:10–11 (ESV)

“Behold, I am full of words; the spirit within me constrains me. Behold, my belly is like wine that has no vent; it is ready to burst like new wineskins. I will speak that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.” — Job 32:18–20 (ESV)

“God speaks in one way, and in two, though man does not perceive it.” — Job 33:14 (ESV)

Have you ever felt like nobody was listening to you—or that what you do doesn’t matter? Maybe you’ve tried to help someone, but it went unnoticed, or you spoke your heart and nobody seemed to understand. Proverbs 12:10–11 reminds us that even small acts of care—like tending to animals or committing to honest work—matter to God. Meanwhile, in Job 32–33, we see Elihu expressing himself with courage, and God using moments of speaking and listening to reveal truth. Life is full of opportunities to care, act, and speak wisely, even when the world seems too busy to notice.

Being kind and responsible isn’t just about earning recognition—it’s about letting God use your hands and words to make a difference. Every choice, every effort, and every heartfelt word matters in ways we might never fully see, and God sees it all.

THINK ABOUT IT

1. Small Acts Matter: How can your everyday choices—helping at home, being kind to classmates, or taking care of your responsibilities—make a bigger impact than you realize?

2. Speak Your Heart: Like Elihu in Job 32, how can you express what’s in your heart in a way that honors God and helps others, even if it feels risky?

3. God Notices: If “God speaks in one way, and in two” (Job 33:14) even when people don’t perceive it, how does that change the way you view your actions and words that go unseen?

BOTTOM LINE

Every act of care and every word spoken in truth has the power to reflect God’s heart, even when no one else notices.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for noticing the small things I do and for listening to the words I sometimes struggle to say. Help me to care for others faithfully and speak with wisdom and courage. Teach me to trust that my actions and words can make a difference because You see and use them for Your purposes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
