“Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.” — Proverbs 12:10
“Then the man bowed his head and worshiped the Lord and said, ‘Blessed be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the Lord has led me in the way to the house of my master's kinsmen.’” — Genesis 24:26-27

Leading others isn’t about being in charge—it’s about having the right heart. In Proverbs 12:10, we learn that true leadership is marked by kindness and responsibility, even in small things. A righteous person treats others, including animals, with care and respect. This shows us that leadership isn’t about being the loudest or most powerful but about showing compassion and making wise decisions that benefit everyone around you.
In Genesis 24, we see an example of true leadership through Abraham’s servant. He doesn’t just go about his mission randomly. He prays, listens to God, and follows the path God shows him. When he finds success, he gives glory to God. This humble, prayerful, and God-centered approach teaches us that good leadership starts with listening to God’s voice and acting in faith, not just relying on our own strength.
As you move through life, whether in your family, school, or with your friends, remember that leadership isn’t about showing off or being the boss. It’s about treating others with respect, making thoughtful decisions, and seeking guidance from God in everything you do.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. Leadership is about care: What are some ways you can show care for others in your daily life, like Abraham’s servant did?
2. Trust God’s guidance: When faced with a decision, do you seek God’s guidance first? What does it look like to trust Him in all situations?
3. Giving glory to God: When you succeed at something, do you give thanks to God for His help and direction, like the servant did in Genesis 24?

BOTTOM LINE
True leadership is about humility, care for others, and trusting God’s direction in your life. God wants to lead you, and when you follow His path, you’ll lead others in the right way.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching me what it means to lead with kindness and humility. Help me to always seek Your guidance in my decisions and show care for others in all I do. May I trust You and give You the glory for every success. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
