Today we will be reading 2 Samuel Chapters 12, 13 and 23 and 1  Chronicles Chapter 11. We will recap yesterday's reading and remember  that God forgave David for his sins but he also pronounced consequences  for those sins. We saw one of those consequences yesterday, in the death  of the son born to Bathsheba. In today's reading we will start to see the consequence of perpetual fighting in David's family. In our discussion today we will talk about realizing and remembering as part of  our healthy fear of God that when we sin God can and does discipline us. We will talk about how David submitted to God when he experienced such discipline and be encouraged to submit to God when we experience consequences for our sins, as well.
