Title: Christ, Be Everything

We are making our way through Lent and heading towards Holy Week. Our passage from the Gospels is John 12:20-33. One of the other passages given us for this week is Hebrews 5:5-10. This Hebrews passage reminds us that “He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation” and that “He learned obedience through what he suffered.” Christ is the great High Priest who grasps all the struggles and chaos of life. He knows how to walk beside us as we “walk gently on this good earth.” This Saturday is St. Patty’s day, and the prayer of St, Patrick, known as the “Breastplate Prayer,” reminds us of these truths.
