Today we are reading 2 Samuel Chapters 19, 20, and 24 as well as 1 Chronicles Chapter 21. We will read about David returning home as king, his forgiveness and compassion for the people who treated him poorly as well as his generosity toward those who provided for him when he needed  it. We will see David tempted by Satan to count the number of men in the  army and David giving in to that temptation, relying on the strength of  his own numbers rather than on God. We will see God delivering  consequence for David, by his own choosing, to reduce the number of  people that David was relying upon, as well as God's mercy to tell the angel to stop. In our discussion today we will talk about forgiveness being so important in our own lives, as well as relying on God to take care of us, rather than our own strength or wealth, because everything  comes from God to begin with, and He can surely take it away if we are  relying on IT rather than Him!
