“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” — Psalm 37:4, 7

Waiting is hard. Whether it's waiting for summer break, answers to prayer, or clarity about your future, it’s easy to feel discouraged. You might start wondering if God’s even listening. But the Bible reminds us that God cares about both the what and the when.
In Proverbs 13:11–12, we learn that quick wins often don’t last, but steady faithfulness leads to lasting rewards. And Psalm 37 shows us that when we find joy in God first, He aligns our hearts with His will and blesses us in His perfect timing.

1. Don’t Rush the Process: What are some things you’re tempted to rush in life—relationships, success, popularity? Proverbs 13 reminds us that “little by little” growth is what truly lasts.
2. Check Your Heart: Are your dreams rooted in God’s desires or just your own? Psalm 37:4 says if you delight in God first, He shapes your desires to match His best for you.
3. Patience Is Powerful: Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing. Waiting on God often involves trusting, praying, and staying faithful even when it’s tough.
