Waking up in Washington, DC on the 57th anniversary of the March On Washington for Jobs and Freedom seems very surreal. With the news of a furlough, I felt it was more important now than ever to commemorate this time in history.

My career took off like a rocket and continues to thrive, even today. Within the airline I have fulfilled roles as a Union Steward, Reports Analyst, Program Interface Specialists, and Instructor. I believe connectivity is the most effective way to uplift my community, break barriers, and contribute to the elevation of our socioeconomic status.
