Scripture Reading (0:00–3:32):

Proverbs Chapter 6 (NLT)

Reflection Questions & Highlighted Scriptures (3:33–5:32):

Proverbs 6:10–11 — “A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.”

Reflection Question: God, how can I honor my desire and need for rest without accidentally slipping into complacency or laziness?

Proverbs 6:20–22 — “My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. Keep their words always in your heart; tie them around your neck. When you walk, their counsel will lead you. When you sleep, they will protect you. When you wake up, they will advise you.”

Reflection Question: God, how can I take what I’ve seen modeled by my parents or family of origin and use it to live in a way that truly glorifies You?

Prayer (5:33–6:37):

O God, by whom the meek are guided in judgment and light rises up in darkness for the godly, grant us in all our doubts and uncertainties the grace to ask what You would have us do, that the Spirit of wisdom may save us from all false choices; that in Your light we may see light, and in Your straight path we may not stumble; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for guidance from the Book of Common Prayer (Collect 11).

Outro (6:38–7:11):
