“Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.” — Proverbs 11:29 (ESV)
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” — Psalm 27:14 (ESV)
“Though he slay me, I will hope in him; yet I will argue my ways to his face.” — Job 13:15 (ESV)

Have you ever felt like life was throwing one problem after another at you? Maybe it’s drama at home, pressure at school, or friendships falling apart. In Proverbs 11:29, we see how foolish choices can bring chaos, but Psalm 27:14 tells us to wait for the Lord—to trust that God is still working even when everything feels stuck. And then there’s Job. He lost everything—his family, his health, his wealth—yet he said, “Though he slay me, I will hope in him” (Job 13:15).
That kind of faith doesn’t come from pretending life is easy. It comes from knowing God is bigger than our problems. Like Job, you can be honest with God about your pain while still trusting Him with your future.
