On Day 2 of the Men’s NCAA Championships, we saw Ryan Hoffer become the second faster performer in history in the 50 freestyle behind only the great Caeleb Dressel. Cal took a lead big lead at the start of the night with some big swims in the 500 by Sean Grieshop and Zach Yeadon and in the 200 IM by Hugo Gonzalez and Carson Foster, but Texas wouldn’t go away quietly. Texas was able to finish the night strong with a 1-2 finish in diving and a 1st place finish in the 400 Medley Relay with the quartet of Staka, Corbeau, Jiang, and Krueger. This is setting up for a HUGE Day 3, or as some call it, “Moving Day.”
