MeLissa Kossick Anderson, former host of KFGO's Metro Arts Scene, gives us a great description of the activities, all the different Krewes, and she even has some of the parades pass right by her front door.

What are these bead things anyway? She tells us the story behind them with some of them having special meaning to people who attend. Some are now biodegradable, and some you'll be able to plant in your backyard.
