Mare Island Dock of Bay Festival - Visit Vallejo Podcast Series

With the arrival of the inaugural Mare Island Dock of Bay Fest, we return with the next installment of our podcast series to share some of the stories from those adding to the legacy of legendary music from Vallejo and their involvement in this one of a kind live music event coming to Mare Island in Vallejo, CA on September 18th, 2021.

We sit down with Kevin Frazier of Frazier Trager Presents, a key player in the production of the festival. He shares some of his experiences in the industry that gets him to this point and briefly touches on a story where he was playing with a young Gabi Wilson (4x Grammy Winner & Oscar Winning Musician - H.E.R.) while highlighting the accessibility of the festival and amazing lineup that  be performing including the likes of Dumpstaphunk, Jackie Greene and 3x Grammy Award Winner Fantastic Negrito.

Of Fantastic Negrito, we have their Pianist joining us for the podcast as well, Bryan Simmons of Vallejo, California. He shares with us his journey of how he began playing music to how his music career took him around the world, only to end up back in Vallejo, as the Pianist headlining the Dock of Bay Fest. He shares his favorite musical influences including several who are also Vallejo natives including E-40, Sly and The Family Stone and Mac Dre.
