In this episode, Raul Palomino Berrocal talks about Peruvian archaeology, digital reconstruction of shipwrecks, and Iberian nautical heritage.
The conference we are talking about: The International Symposium “Towards a Holistic (Pre)History of Northern Peru” will bring together leading scholars in archaeology, paleoclimatology, genetics, linguistics, and history to explore the long-term relationship between human societies and the environment in northern Peru.
By examining how ecological diversity, climate variability, and human adaptation have shaped the region over millennia, the symposium seeks to promote an interdisciplinary understanding of one of the most dynamic cultural and environmental landscapes of the Andes. The event forms part of the EcoAndes project and highlights the importance of northern Peru as a unique case study for understanding the interaction between ecology and human history.
George is a PhD student of Maritime Archaeology, in this podcast fellow early career researchers from around the world talk about their research and share their stories.
