Margaret Atwood in Conversation with Gaby Wood

Listen Later

Well known for novels such as Cat’s Eye, Alias Grace, the MaddAddam Trilogy, and the Booker Prize-winning The Blind Assassin, Margaret Atwood has been in the news recently due to the appearance of her international bestseller The Handmaid’s Tale as a television series – some say, just in time for the age of Trump.
In this one-time London appearance, Margaret Atwood reads from her work; then, in conversation with Gaby Wood, journalist and Literary Director of the Booker Prize Foundation, she discusses not only her career, but the past, present and future of her best-known novel and the real world it reflects.
