Listen Later

Hey there surfers and beachgoers! Welcome to the latest surf forecast report brought to you by the National Weather Service. So, let's dive in and see what the waves have in store for us!

Here in the Mariana Islands, we have a mix of surf conditions to keep an eye on. The hazardous surf of 8 to 11 feet on our east-facing reefs is expected to decrease to the 5 to 8 foot range. However, a high risk of rip currents remains in place, shifting to moderate by Thursday for the east-facing reefs.

For tonight, the surf heights vary across our different facing reefs. North facing reefs are looking at 5 to 7 feet, east facing reefs at 8 to 11 feet, while south and west facing reefs are around 2 to 4 feet. So make sure to stay safe and aware of these conditions.

As we move into Thursday, the rip current risk decreases to moderate. Surf heights will be slightly lower with 4 to 6 feet on north facing reefs and 5 to 8 feet on east facing reefs. South and west facing reefs are expected to stay around 2 to 4 feet.

Remember to keep an eye on the coastal winds too. They will be breezy from the east at 15 to 25 mph tonight, decreasing to 10 to 20 mph after midnight. Thursday brings slightly calmer winds from the east at 10 to 20 mph.

Looking ahead, little change is expected through the weekend, so plan your surfing adventures accordingly.

And don't forget, always stay prepared, especially in areas with rip currents. Safety first, folks!

That's all for now from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam. Get out there, catch some waves, and enjoy the ocean responsibly. This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a swell! Thank you for listening.
