This week's guest is Siobhán Friel - a coach working with people who want freedom from overthinking, anxiety, overwhelm, and worry. Maria and Siobhán tackle the topic of self-trust. Namely, that inner knowing that we all possess that tells us when something is right for us, resonating with us, or the thing we want to be doing in a particular moment.
A lot of us (especially women) have been taught that trusting ourselves to know what to do and when to do it is inherently dangerous, and we need to constantly doubt ourselves and look for external blueprints and guidance. As a result, we are terrified that if we trust ourselves and someone disagrees with our course of action, or we end up changing our minds later, that would "prove" how untrustworthy we are (so better not try in the first place!) But what if trusting ourselves is not nearly as scary as we thought, and it could make our lives and our work significantly less stressful and more fun?
