This week on Fashion Unplugged we are talking about the very important topic of breast cancer and the effects this has on women going through it, both physically and emotionally. Breast cancer affects so many women, with 1 in 7 UK females being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Knowing someone close to you, or going through this yourself, it is a life changing experience. We want to share the importance of checking yourself, because the earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the better the chance of successful treatment. And to join us this week on the podcast we have the special guest Marie, a content creator who is currently going through breast cancer treatment. She is going to share her story and also give us her thoughts on how her clothing and style can help how she feels through this time.
Marie is a Wolverhampton girl through and through now living in Shropshire. She’s mom to archie and a dog mom to Dolly & Cybil, and to say she has slight addiction to shopping is probably underselling it slightly! She has spent the majority of her career in banking & finance, but more recently working with her fiancé James who recently set up his own business. Her love of clothes and fashion started from a really early age and her Instagram page was born from her friends encouraging her to share her style and fashion ideas, and she’s so glad she did….
