Publisher's Summary:
She vigorously played the dumb-blonde stereotype in her movie roles, but there is nothing at all dumb about Marilyn Monroe. Born to a single mother who suffered from severe mental illness, the odds were stacked against the girl originally named Norma Jeane from the very beginning. She became a ward of the state and bounced around from foster home to foster home. The fact that she rose from such impoverished beginnings to become one of the top-billed acts in Hollywood speaks for itself.

All you could know about Marilyn Monroe in a brief, concise manner
I found this e-book about Marilyn Monroe: A Life From Beginning to End to be very interesting. I have seen several of Marilyn Monroeâs movies that were re-run in the 70s and 80s; I was definitely not a fan of those movies. So I will be honest if Hourly History had not written a story about her life, I would not have read about her. Before reading this book, I did not realize how difficult and hard her early life was. Marilyn had the fortitude to do the things that were necessary for her to become an actress, and she took various courses, and mentors to enable her to almost become a great actress. I believe her marriage to Joe DiMaggio provided someone who believed in her and he attempted to provide structure and her life. I think from Joe DiMaggioâs point of view their honeymooning in Japan and then going to Korea was a bad idea and if he could do it over he would never have done it. Marilyn going to Korea demonstrated to her that her audience loved and respected her, he was starting to believe in herself. It seems towards the end she became more like her mother.
Norma Jean Will Never Be Forgotten.
Well written short history of the "Blond Bombshell". She ruined her life with drugs, alcohol and men. Fame, fortune and death follows a lot of our famous Americans.
Marilyn Monroe - short bio
Loved the honest way this bio was presented. Truthful, with compassion, and without a personal commentary to muck up the truth.. The reader's intellect is maintained as we fill in the gaps. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this...albeit, short story, about a very unique and troubled woman.
Informative!
An interesting and well-written book about one of America's icons.
Enjoyable read
Entertaining read. I learned a couple of interesting facts I didn't know before. I would recommend this book because it was good.
