Welcome to Sword and Pen, a podcast about journalism, military veterans, and military veterans in journalism.  In this episode we welcome Russell Midori, a Marine Corps veteran and staff journalist for CBS News network. Russell is also an Overseas Press Club Foundation board member, a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and universities, and he volunteers as an alumni mentor for students in the Brooklyn College Radio and Television department. Russell is also a co-founder of Military Veterans in Journalism.

Sword and Pen is a production of Military Veteran in Journalism, a professional association that builds community for vets, supports their career growth, and advocates for diversifying newsrooms through hiring and promoting more vets.
