Marisa Levy has blue hair, bright eyes and a magnetism that draws you in immediately. Over Zoom, we talked about her background as a Texas girl who moved to the Netherlands, then India and South Africa. She had camera pack in hand, and an adventurous spirit. Speaking "a little bit of a lot of languages," and with impressive degrees, scholarships and grants under her belt, Marisa set out to make "bleeding heart" documentaries and ended up in DC, New York and Hollywood. Television was the end goal. 

🎤 Marisa has a range of experience in the field and behind the executive desk at networks. She's worked most recently at BET for Viacom/CBS, and before that at MTV and Vh1 on the east coast; Being able to produce content that isn't necessarily of her own demographic, is a challenge she embraces. Whether working for Bravo , "the I wish network" or TLC "I could be friends with that person" network, she creates shows for a range of audiences. Her world travels have equipped her with an open mind and a unique lens to green-light unscripted content. 

She's been called a programming "badass" by her peers in television development. She has respect and affection for her mentors, and shouts out especially to Rita Mullins for being one of the best managers ever, her mentor and the person who taught her about "this thing called development."
