As good as Mayer is, it's a shame that it's taken this long for her to get showcased. Time will tell where she goes from here; but the business has a long way to go still with women's boxing.
Many of the women are already mid-30's by the time they get featured on a big stage, and there aren't really very many standouts other than Mayer and Marshall; but we're still nowhere near even legacy fights like Ali/Frazier-Lyle (Which was a PPV that had no business being one).
