* Notice the two examples Christ uses (one found in Mark 2 and two in Matthew 12:3-5).

* David and his men at bread “in the temple.”

* Priests work on the Sabbath “in the temple.”

* Both of them were “in the temple.”

* In the OT the temple housed God’s presence.

* Jesus then told them the disciples were in His presence (Matthew 12:6).

* He redefined how to honor the Sabbath - walk in Christ’s presence.

* Honoring the Sabbath is all about honoring Jesus by walking in His presence.

* This can happen on any day.
