D. Jesus critics were off put by His presence among the non-religious. (18)

E. a relationship with Jesus is a marriage to God, the marriage feast is a celebration. (19)

John 3:29 NKJV

29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled.[i]

Romans 7:4 NKJV

4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.[ii]

F. Jesus tells us that fasting is a picture of His death. (20)

G. Jesus does not refine the old life, He brings new life to old people. (21,22)
