* The disciples were professional fishermen, yet were scared out of their mind from the storm.

* They were also mad, this is why they rebuked Jesus - “Don’t you care….”

* I imagine Pete probably told Jesus they shouldn’t go out cuz a storm was brewing, yet Jesus said to go anyway.

* They obeyed and found themselves in a fight for their lives.

* When they woke Jesus it’s as if they said, “We told you this would happen, now we’re going to die! Why did you do this? We trusted you.”

* Jesus didn’t let them pull Him into their frenzy - He rebuked the wind and waves.

* KEY - Jesus rebuked their faith because they operated out of fear while walking in obedience to His command!

* They had external faith but not internal.

* They stopped trusting Him when the storm picked up.

* True faith involves not only obedience but trust - we remain at peace in the storm because we trust He is with us when we are doing what He told us to do.
