This week we’re looking at Mark 4:35-5:20 where Jesus leaves predominantly Jewish territory to bring the good news of the kingdom to Gentiles. We have already seen in Mark’s gospel that one of the hallmarks of Jesus’ ministry was his authority. We’ll see that theme of Jesus’ authority grow as he shows control over the natural and supernatural world and ask what our response to his authority should be.
