* Familiarity breeds contempt.

* Familiarity is a matter of focus - if you’re expecting God to show up in new and exciting ways you will see Him.

* If not, you won’t.

* The way to stay away from becoming too familiar is by digging deeper.

* There is no end to the amount of Himself He will show us if we keep digging for more of Him.

* The same is true in all relationships - there is always more to know and learn.

* You should always be on a constant discovery tour with those you love, especially God.

* Two things they lost by becoming too familiar:

* 1) Power - Christ didn’t get to show His power.

* 2) Presence - Christ had to leave their town.
