Mark Berokoff enters his second season as Oklahoma City University men's basketball coach.  In his first season at Oklahoma City, Berokoff directed the Stars to a 17-14 record. OCU collected the No. 3 seed in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament and earned its most conference wins (15) since 2009-10. OCU made a turnaround from two wins the previous season. OCU had one all-American (Rashaun Coleman) and three all-conference performers.

Berokoff came to Oklahoma City after leading Randall to three national championships. In nine years at Randall, Berokoff guided the Saints to three national titles (2016, 2017 and 2018), one national runner-up finish, three regional titles, five national semifinal appearances and seven national-tournament berths on the National Christian College Athletic Association Division II level. Berokoff, who was also the athletic director, collected national coach of the year twice (2016 and 2019).
