The Gospel of Mark is a fast-paced, powerful account of Jesus’ life, focused on revealing his true identity as the Messiah and King. The book is structured in two halves: the first shows Jesus’ authority through teaching and miracles, and the second reveals his path of suffering. The turning point is Peter’s declaration that Jesus is the Messiah (Mark 8:29), followed by Jesus redefining kingship through the cross. This series, “The King’s Cross,” explores selected stories from Mark that show who Jesus is, what he did, and why it matters—calling believers to follow him by taking up their own cross.
